Kansas City's Own Sheryl Liddle to Chair National AWC Board
At the AWC National Conference in Lubbock, TX, in October 2005, Lin Berryman, the AWC National Board Chair for the past two years, transferred the Chair's gavel to Sheryl Liddle of the Greater Kansas City Chapter. Learn more at AWC online. (Updated 11/1/05)
Liddle was elected to a three-year term on the national AWC Board of Directors last February. It will be Liddle's first term on the board. Board terms run from April 1, 2005, through March 31, 2008.
Liddle, who served the Greater Kansas City Chapter as president in 1999-2000 and 2003-2004, and as vice president for programs in 2001-2003, joined the organization in 1995.
She is marketing special projects coordinator with Ruskin Co., a manufacturing company, where she coordinates special projects including AV productions and drama. Most of her career has been in photography and audio-visual productions. She has held positions at other organizations as AV producer, production manager and photographer.
Sheryl holds bachelor's and master's degrees in cinema from Bob Jones University.
Also elected at the recent general election to the national AWC Board of Directors were Jennifer Lester of Denver, co-founder of Philosophy Communication Inc., currently secretary of the national board; and Karen Alexander of Chicago, associate vice president for communications at the University of Chicago.
