CHAPTER AWARDS

Our Greater Kansas City AWC chapter has four awards - Leading Change, Super Newcomer, Unsung Hero and Friend of Women in Communications. Awards are given intermittently to individuals who deserve merit for outstanding achievement.

• The Leading Change Award is given to long-time members for providing outstanding chapter leadership and service, promoting the image of AWC as a professional organization and leading change in AWC or the community.
• The Super Newcomer Award is given to a fairly new member who has done a great job to increase the chapter's visibility or to provide special service.
• The Unsung Hero Award is given to a chapter member who has provided long-term behind-the-scenes service to the chapter.
• The Friend of Women in Communications Award is given to a business or organization whose generosity has helped support the chapter in its ongoing or special efforts.
